Linda Renz's PhD exhibition Re-inventing the Lolita Complex explores the tensions and nuances in historical portraits of young women, and considers the rise of the “selfie” in contemporary culture. The exhibition comprises a series of film-stills taken directly from iconic twentieth-century cinema, along side a large-scale installation of over 300 selfies.
