Free Public Lecture: George Gittoes – his life and work

In conjunction with the exhibition George Gittoes: I Witness, Dr Rod Pattenden will give a public lecture in the University Gallery at 2pm this Saturday, 25 October. Rod, who curated the exhibition for Hazelhurst Regional Gallery, will speak about Gittoes, his life and art. This is a FREE event and refreshments will be served.
I Witness includes artworks that show realistic scenes and massacres of violence, so please be advised that it may be unsuitable for children and offend some viewers. Visitors have found the exhibition to be "confronting" and "brave".
Don't miss this opportunity to view a selection of Gittoes' work from the past 45 years. Exhibition closes this Saturday 25 October at 4pm.
